Any three Prompt Guides, or any three Style Guides, are three for the price of two.

Midjourney, the short version.

The honest version, up front: there is no secret prompt. Every image on my page was made with a prompt under fifteen words. The look comes from three things: a moodboard, a profile trained on that moodboard, and throwing away most of what comes out.

1. A moodboard is the taste

A Midjourney moodboard is a folder of 25 to 30 images that share a finish: the same light, grain, colour cast, the same way skin or metal renders. Not the same subject. A moodboard full of one subject teaches the model the subject; a moodboard full of one finish teaches it the look. Keep each look in its own board. A combined board averages everything into mush.

2. The profile is the finish

From a moodboard you make a personalization profile. Midjourney shows you pairs of images and asks which one you prefer; every answer tunes the profile. Do at least 200 pairs before judging it, in two or three sittings, and rank for the finish, never for the subject. Your profile drifts toward your own taste as you rank, so two people with the same moodboard end up with two related but different styles. That is the point.

3. The prompt is the subject

With the profile on, the prompt only has to say what is in the picture. Mine follow one pattern:

[subject + one clothing detail] [one verb or pose] [one scene word] [one light or energy word]

"woman in a silk sari in a field of flowers at night, butterflies". "chrome skull with diamond teeth, red backlight". Settings: --ar 4:5 for phone and portrait, the profile on, nothing else. No stylize changes, no chaos. The profile is the stylize.

4. Putting yourself in the style

Generate a clean base photo of yourself first (good light, the pose you actually want), then run the look with that image attached as the reference and the profile on. Keep the face by saying so in the prompt, and run the same three prompts for every candidate photo so you can compare. If the face drifts toward anyone famous, it goes.

5. Throw most of it away

Four images per run, one keeper on a good day. The feed on my page is the keepers; the rest is the method working as intended. Refine the keeper with variations, not with new prompts.

What the Style Guides add

The Style Guides are the moodboards themselves: the exact reference sets behind each look, generated by me with generic subjects, ready to import, plus the full guide (ranking rules, prompt structure, the base-photo method, an ablation grid showing what each setting changes) and every prompt I used. They are for people who already have Midjourney. If you don't, the Prompt Guides run in ChatGPT.

Which plan? Any paid Midjourney plan has profiles, moodboards and image references. Fast hours matter more than the tier.
